Beekeeping is one of the oldest farm activities. It is existent for many centuries in many countries. In India, it is not so old. After the independence in 1947, beekeeping was promoted as an income generation activity for villages.
In order to develop an ecosystem for beekeeping and sustain ethical practices among bee farmers, a company incepted which is made for bee farmers. We coined the name as HoneyDay bee farms. Though the company incorporated in 2016, we have our presence in the industry since 2011.
HoneyDay Bee Farms is working at the grassroots level including the production of honey, all beekeeping supplies, consulting, and supplies of nucleus bee colonies. We have developed skills and technology so that we can manage many bee farms and supply beekeeping units without stressing bees.
We harvest honey from our apiaries, buy back from our community projects or trained farmers and purchase from ethical outreach beekeepers who undergo our stringent audits and protocols. We now hold the crown of harvesting as well as collecting the highest number of honey variants in the country.
Through our Non-profit arm The HIVE, we share knowledge and sensitize farmers, urban society, and children about the importance of bees as pollinators.
